A closed, red , hibiscus flower hanging near a walking trail. Boy Scout Woods (Louis B. Smith Bird Sanctuary), High Island, Texas. Before being purchased by the Houston Audubon Society, the 60 acres of wetlands, woods and coastal prairies was known as Boy Scout Woods because of the scout camp on the property. In 1982 the property was officially named the Louis B. Smith Sanctuary, but the sanctuary is still know by the name of   Boy Scout Woods.
