A single white Oxeye daisy, growing among green grass during the summer, Pewaukee, Wisconsin. The Oxeye daisy, Leucanthemum vulgare, flourishes in meadows, pastures, near roadsides and in the proximity of waste areas. For the dairy farmer, the Oxeye daisy is an annoyance because milk produced by cows that consume the plant acquires an unpleasant taste.
